Working Principle of Forklift Handbrake

The forklift handbrake is the parking device of the forklift. The forklift parking brake is composed of hand brake handle, cable, brake mechanism and return spring. Brake cable is connected to the handle of the forklift hand brake, and the handle drives the cable. The handle is hinged with a pawl. When the pawl cooperates with the fixed ratchet, the brake handle is locked, so that the cable is maintained at the position when the handle stops. By pressing the unlocking push button on the handle can disengage the pawl from the ratchet teeth. Forklift handbrake handle returns under the pulling force of the cable.
