Forklift Engine Connecting Rod

Forklift connecting rod is the forklift engine connecting rod. The connecting rod connects the piston and the crankshaft, and transmits the force received by the piston to the crankshaft, which converts the reciprocating motion of the piston into the rotary motion of the crankshaft.

The forklift engine connecting rod assembly is composed of connecting rod, big connecting rod cap, small connecting rod bushing, connecting rod bush and connecting rod bolt (or screw).

The connecting rod assembly bears the gas force from the piston pin and its own swing and the reciprocating inertia force of the piston group. The magnitude and direction of these forces change periodically. Therefore, the connecting rod is subjected to alternating loads such as compression and tension.

The connecting rod must have sufficient fatigue strength and structural rigidity. If the fatigue strength of the forklift engine connecting rod is insufficient, it will often cause the connecting rod body or connecting rod bolt to break, which will cause a major accident of the forklift. If the rigidity of the connecting rod of the forklift engine is insufficient, it will cause bending deformation of the rod body and deformation of the large head of the connecting rod, resulting in deviation and wear of the piston, cylinder, bearing and crank pin.
